It’s that time of year where we start thinking about our exterior. If you’re like me, I’m always thinking of ways to keep up & make my home look presentable.
For a fun & affordable option, paint your front door! This can completely transform the look of your home without breaking the bank. If you’re feeling up to it, change the hardware too. It’s a great way to modernize it!
Adding new house numbers. Check your local hardware store for modern numbers. Or even online. You could even add house numbers to a large rock in your landscaping.
Plant a tree or a large potted plant. Maple trees & grasses look stunning in pots, plus they’re very low maintenance.
A cozy spot to sit
Add outdoor furniture, depending on the size of your exterior space maybe this is just a couple of chairs, or perhaps a porch swing.
Maintain your lawn, this means cutting it regularly, weeding it, watering & basic lawn care.
Weeding your gardens goes a long way. Overgrown gardens can be a bit of an eyesore. Be sure to prune your brushes, remove dead heads on flowers & leaves. Remove plants if they are growing into one another or trim them back in the right season.
Plant annuals. This brings life & colour to your garden! Top the garden beds up with fresh rich soil. Not only does it look sharp but it provides your garden with nutrients to make them grow bigger & healthier.
Tidy up the driveway, tuck away recycling & garbage cans. Store them behind the fence or at the side of the house.
Update exterior lighting, this can change the whole look of your exterior while also brightening it 😉 There are many affordable options available. Adding solar lights to your garden or your favourite tree to give it that evening ambiance.
I hope my ideas have inspired you to add curb appeal to your home!
